Not only has the Crown Estate seemed very, very, very keen to comply with The Times’ FOI on the terms of Prince Andrew’s lease, speedily & fully, without redaction; but The Times has gone to some effort to spell out precisely on what grounds Andrew could be evicted under the lease’s terms.

That’s because the building was indeed a series of “gentlemen’s clubs”, until the last of them to occupy it, the Constitutional Club, sold it to the Masons in 1977.

They’re naturally bald, but faced with Kirk’s magnificent high-end toupee, they felt naked confronting him without rapidly grabbing a wig of their own. Even if ill-fitting.

Yes, I got this absolute nonsense last week. I have no intention of agreeing to any of it. (Not that that’s stopped my book with Bloomsbury being pirated on LibGen and then illegally used by Meta to train their AI. But I’ve no intention of encouraging that to happen even more.)
