Last but not least, I want to highlight @Apptronik's Apollo, a humanoid with a strong foundation. What sets it apart is its "robot as a platform" approach, allowing for adaptable mobility (wheels, legs, stationary) and a focus on human-robot interaction. #humanoidrobots

The silver lining
As a majority-owned subsidiary of @Hyundai, cost barriers might be more manageable. The potential for mass production and reduced costs could make Atlas more accessible to industries and researchers alike.

What's missing?
Human-robot interaction and language comprehension capabilities, making it less of a cobot. Cost is also a concern, given the high price tag of their previous robots, such as Stretch ($300k-$500k) and Spot ($75k)

@OpenAI rebuilding its robotics team makes strategic sense, as it can create a full-stack solution like @NVIDIARobotics Isaac, driving adoption & lock-in. However, it may divert resources from core AI research 🤔 #AI #Robotics
