I went to a Virgin Records Megastore when I was 12 and, after flipping through the racks, chose Radiohead’s album Amnesiac and Daft Punk’s album Discovery. Hadn’t heard of either of them, so no idea what to expect. Previewed the song “Morning Bell” on the store‘s headphones. Bought ‘em… were great…!
