My wife and I went to NOLA Jazz Fest in 2014. It started downpouring. We were totally unprepared but it was a warm cozy rain on a hot day so it actually felt nice. We hailed a taxi after getting soaked and got dropped in the Quarter, and found an amazing jazz cafe to dry off in. Perfect day.
