The US govt just announced a new commitment for the Paris Agreement, pledging to reduce emissions by 61-66% by 2035. Here's WWF's statement:

Last week negotiations for a UN treaty on plastic pollution ended without producing a final agreement. I interviewed WWF's lead expert on the treaty for an upcoming podcast episode and came away much more optimistic than I expected. This fight isn't over.
