Yet our best trained, best educated, best equipped
Best prepared Democratic leaders refuse to fight
As a matter of fact, it's safe to say that they would rather switch
Than fight

House Republicans are a bunch of lazy bums. Why the hell should they be getting paid to be at recess? The same party that gets hot and bothered about “work requirements”. What a bunch of pathetic losers.

The air traffic controllers should strike.

@timmiller.bsky.social I’m sorry if you’ e been asked about it before, but I’m curious about the empty pinto bean bag you have hanging on your wall. Was there a family connection to that co-op?

“Local broadcasters have an obligation to serve the public interest…” If a corporation based in another state owns a slew of television stations then those really aren’t “local broadcasters”.

Is it time for an “I am Spartacus!” moment where everyone posts the exact same message about Charlie Kirk?

I keep reading about political violence being a result of people losing their voice. If R’s were serious people they’d see that TX gerrymandering has started a trend that ends badly and would protest. I don’t want to vote for CA to end their Indy redistricting commission because but I will.

To the members of Congress who just passed that dumb ass bill. By screwing with SNAP you just made teaching that much harder. Learning is hard when you are hungry. Don’t you dare start harping about test scores.

I grew up lower middle-middle class in Oakland in the 1980’s. I now realize I’m bougie as hell because it isn’t the price of eggs that freak me out but instead a bag of Guittard chocolate chips is $11 a bag.

Listened to The Press Box pod today. @joelanderson.bsky.social talked about 🥩 being cooked “crispy” and mentions poorer communities not getting the best cuts of meat. Another reason for well done is not having refrigeration. My dad grew up w/out a fridge so our steak was always shoe leather.

This administration has so screwed up Kilmar Abrego García’s life and the rule of law it is disgraceful. At this point any evidence that they claim to have against him can only be seen as fake. Bring Wilmar back to his family.

Sad to read about Mario Vargas Llosa’s passing. My dad was a couple of years older than Llosa, but by reading Llosa’s novels I learned a lot about my dad’s life in 1950’s Lima, 🇵🇪.

Grad students getting snatched off the streets. Visiting professors and researchers getting detained. Faculty escaping to Canada. Every single college campus needs to erupt in protest. Free Speech + Vietnam War protests x 100.

@schumer.senate.gov I’m one voter in CA. Do you have game? Remember this book? @schiff.senate.gov and @padilla.senate.gov are willing to fight. It won’t be neat, we have all seen the sausage being made.
