Semi-feral neurodivergent yarn goblin on wheels.
Unapologetically British English speaking.
Current projects are as unknowable as the deepest sky.
I think I’m going to start using “out of the quantum” in polite society.

The Beetlejuice Principle 🤣

Many mouldy potatoes to be seen under railway bridges if folk really wanted to see them - they nest on the ledges created by the girders. So fuzzy, so cute.

Ok so that’s that book going on the read again list 😂

Yes sure, I have some ideas, I would need guidance though!

I’m in Essex unfortunately, I’m not sure what is available or being done here, but I’ll look it up.

Sadly my MP is James Cleverly…

But I’ll see. Maybe nearby ones have amenable representatives.

It’s the same in the UK - the stats say that when Conservatives leave office the economy is in worse shape than it was, and when Labour leave it’s usually better. But people continue to believe the conservatives are the most fiscally responsible - it’s a weirdly intractable delusion.

What would be the best way to make the ‘call’ do you think?
November 7, 2025 at 5:40 PM
Yeah, it would be a massive boon to Brits too, especially the young and the socially isolated.
But the outcry that would come if the government put money into doing this 🤦‍♀️

I feel like what needs to happen is a greater provision of community centres and third spaces that bypass the touchy question of work entirely. Everyone cooks, reads, plays board games, crafts, plays music, drinks tea etc - it should be based on that. Language acquisition would be improved by it too

I don’t mind if the audience is not all knitters (in fact it would be preferable, because then it would work to change attitudes about knitting) as long as the show creators had enough respect for the craft, but they don’t (apparently).
Tbh I don’t like these formats, so don’t know what I expected.
November 7, 2025 at 12:53 PM
Yeah, that’s what I meant by neither knowing or caring. There were so many different choices that could have been made if the creators actually understood and respected the craft. It could have been great. Instead (it sounds) like they’re making these incredibly skilled makers look incompetant.

Before you ask the spider didn’t talk. She just waved her legs about in a very communicative manner.

That communication probably being “go ahead! I dare you!”
