The way that his humanity is established through contrast between what he says about and how he dehumanizes himself and his behavior around people and within his relationships… I just love it so much. The unconscious, hypocritical way he reveals to us. It’s /so/ human.

however, his disavowal of humans blinds himself to the life he has lived as one, using detachment predisposed to his 'kind' as a coping mechanism for how he's suffered within very human structures of hierarchy, power, and control, tethering all he seeks to enact yet fails to naturally embody
