Thinking about the Hazmat enemies from the subway and Old New York levels of the Futurama game. What the hell was up with these guys? What were they doing underground? They don't seem to be mutants, otherwise they probably would have been in the sewer level. Are they a cult, terrorists, aliens?

Apropos of nothing, about a week ago, I was watching a stream of MGS3, and The Fury boss reminded me how interesting I find the concept of a villainous astro/cosmonaut. I can't list many examples, but I am surprised that the concept isn't more common in fiction. (1/6)
