The ice caps melt, then they reflect less sun, so the heating gets worse and the ice caps melt more. Just another accelerant. It sure feels like they always go that way. It feels like it's always home field advantage for the worst people. What thinking person has the patience to do this forever?

When the political discourse is SO fucking stupid and monotonous that anyone with an ounce of intelligence or creativity is under constant mental load just by having to exist in this idiocy, that sure is good for the fascists. I doubt it's on purpose. It's like all the climate change feedback loops.

Or is it just a happy coincidence for the fascists. If the people who are really bothered when things don't make any fucking sense or when people are lying, are all out of the conversation for one reason or another, that sure would make life easier for liars, wouldn't it.

This isn't a serious question because we aren't anywhere within 10 astronomical units of doing anything like this. We need way tighter gun laws, but with the way our entire government and supreme court is currently staffed, I'd be thrilled with any small progress on this.
