and the fact that there was ambient dialogue from your companions but ONLY at camp and ONLY if you weren't also crafting/upgrading/etc. They should have made it so the dialogue would trigger when you were running around the maps or whatever!

like the game tended to repeat the same idea in slightly different ways in case you weren't paying attention, but I WAS paying attention! that script needed to be edited and cut down and I dont usually say that for video games

my last thought (which might be controversial) is that there was too much dialogue. I for sure missed a whole chunk of Marius's quest dialogue because there was a point where I stopped engaging in it.

I wish obsidian let us have romances (apparently you COULD romance kai but I missed the SINGULAR dialogue option?) - and I also wish you didn't get shoehorned into taking yatzli with you everywhere to dispel illusions (feels like an oversight)

and I think going for such a clearly covid/pandemic-inspired story was a big swing but I enjoyed it. I think having lived thru a pandemic, the levels of incompetence in the fantasy world governments etc feel more real. it certainly added to the worldbuilding

I really enjoyed the thematic emphasis on guilt, trauma, and forgiveness. I love that in the end after freeing Sapadal, they had to convince ME to not kill Loedwyn but to let her die. though I do wish that some of the big choices/options weren't *so* morally grey / lose-lose.

Maps, waypoints, questlines all feel like they improved majorly since I played outer worlds. there was a lot less dead space of just running around with no encounters / nothing to do (except at some points in galawains tusks)

the game did lowkey play and feel like skyrim 2 - which was comfortable/familiar. but that level of clunkiness sometimes, too. I could NOT get the parry timing down whatsoever.

there was someone on the bus the other day who smelled so bad he polluted the bus atmosphere. it was like inhaling cigarette smoke and tar my eyes were watering I had to cough. he also seemed super high and kept taking his shoe off and I’m sure that was not helping the smell situation.
