Exactly. We're so used to seeing those who have done least to cause this mess reaping the consequences. So please forgive me a moment of mirth, when those with larger carbon footprints face the consequences of their actions. I will react similarly when the grid in Vegas goes down in a heatwave.

I think it's tied in with feelings of entitlement. They are cruise passengers, only in port for a day - so of course the warnings don't apply to them - they're special.

And yes, cruise ships have been shown to be major polluters - but the passengers enjoy them, so why should they miss out? Fuck'em.
