A seismic shock in Welsh politics, for all kinds of reasons. I am touched by the human story of the seat being won by a man who has stood 14 times in previous elections and was touched by how respectful he was to the former seat holder who tragically died.

Plaid have won a massive victory in the Caerphilly by-election beating Reform comfortably.

The Labour vote has totally collapsed.

It seems that in Caerphilly more people feared those who oppose immigration than the immigrants themselves.

The EHRC guidance is NOT statutory
- Trans & gender nonconforming teenagers have a right to feel safe in schools.
- Trans & gender nonconforming staff have a right to feel safe in workplaces.
- Trans & gender nonconforming people have a right to feel safe in public.

A UK court has made a decision defining genders which has put it at odds with a less noticed, more important, decision from the CJEU. This is the Gist.

President Trump said he would have had a “very nasty life” if he lost the presidential election, a surprisingly public acknowledgment that his legal challenges could have consumed his life and brought jail time.

Devastating article from Peter Apps. Decades of policy has resulted in the place we face today. We need courageous leaders to turn this around. #SocialHousing #Homelessness
Babies are dying unnecessarily in homelessness accommodation. How did we get here and how do we get out?
74 children - most of them babies - have had 'temporary accommodation' identified as a contributing factor to their deaths since 2019. This is the grim consequence of years of housing policy failure.

So how does it feel today to be a feminist who has been disputing trans identities to have Trump as their leader? And also, if sex is defined at conception then we’re all female! Because….science. Trump appears to have erased all men! 😂

Bullying and harassment in the workplace can be subtle or overt but it is always toxic. Creating a culture that is high in relational literacy is key to preventing bullies from prospering.
A nurse bullied her colleagues for years. Did her bosses do enough?
Bullying and toxic backbiting affected an NHS clinic for nearly five years. The victims are still waiting for accountability

AI has an environmental problem. Here’s what the world can do about that.
The sprawling data centres that house AI servers churn out toxic electronic waste and are voracious consumers of electricity, which in most places is still produced from fossil fuels.
