An approximate $5.2 million contract with Mahlum, an architecture firm from Seattle, for design services for Sequim High School and the CTE (Ramponi Center for Technical Excellence) building was approved by Sequim School District’s board of directors last week.

Olympic Theatre Arts’ actors turn to Martians to help Sequim get in the holiday spirit this December with the 1964 B-movie adaptation of “Santa Claus conquers the Martians.”

It plays weekends through Dec. 21.

Sequim High School added its first officially sanctioned sport in 24 years – girls flag football.
Practices are set to begin Nov. 17 for any high school girl interested as it will be a no-cut sport this year.

Leaders with Shipley Center, Sequim’s senior center, hope to move into the former JCPenney by the end of 2026.

For the third year, locals are invited to bring out or rediscover their inner child at The Olympic Peninsula Toy and Collectibles Show this weekend from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30 in the Guy Cole Event Center.
