#popotillo is a craft that's dear to my heart; it makes use of some of the same concepts used in faceting of gemstones, and I find that it helps to show the beauty that shines from within a culture, and shows the resilience and adaptability of the people from that region when you hear the history.
@404media.co I can't find an article yet about Android System SafetyCore, are you guys already investing it? If not, it's definitely worth a look, people are justifiably concerned that Google forced spyware onto all devices without notice imgur.com/gallery/if-y...

The other day I couldn't figure out why a batch of dough simply wasn't coming out right, and was reminded that sometimes we should take a step back and ask for a second opinion when we're struggling. Turns out I forgot to add the yeast! Just needed another person's perspective.🧡 #wholesomeWheatBread

It's neat; you can use the same ingredients in the same proportions, but with a slightly different approach to how you mold it you'll end up with something entirely different. I think #bread is a lot like people, in that it's what we go through that shapes us, but we're all the same stuff inside.

A sleew of #slaps, oldies but goodies. Selections from the Shadow Puppet series, a few Dexter's Lab ones, #pingu, #animalcrossing, a couple from #moomin, and Lake Lady doing a JoJo. Save for the sonic 228 these were made with receipt thermal paper and alcohol pens. Lake Lady has a metallic ink layer

Some days the dough comes out too moist, but that's ok, you can always work some more flour in. Even though it doesn't work at first, with a little attention and care you can still make something delicious; it makes for unique outcomes to break up the monotony, and you can snack on the ugliest ones.

Did a set of #zelda sprites for an #art commission some years ago. These were some of my favorite early explorations into this critically endangered #craft; I was hoping #popotillo could be a biodegradable alternative to #perlerbeads for #pixelart and it turned out great!

some of my favorite #sonic #mario and #yoshi #slaps from way back when I was a letter carrier. I'd save and draw on discarded #usps228 labels when someone would write an address wrong, rather than let them get trashed. Also some scratch made on my #kelsey #printingpress. (Some still up for #trade)

A collection of #moomin themed #slaps which have either been distributed or posted. These were made some years ago, but sadly the sentiments are still as applicable as always.

A commissioned #popotillo illustration, an endangered craft from Mexico; you coat a canvas with wax, then press naturally dyed broom straw into the wax, and snap it with your fingernail. It would be at the center of a Venn diagram of parquetry, tile mosaic, and embroidery. It's an anisomorphic art.
