So, what's up: I was finally ready for another #catadoption . Chosen by TINY lovebug snowshoe siamese, Mimi, unaccountably at shelter 3 years. Came with 1.5 yo kitten who'd grown up in cage w/mum. Luna needed a LOT of socializing but has gone from hiss & hide to "pet me!" Papa supposedly Maine Coon!

Update: As data from more sensors come in, USGS often adjusts the preliminary estimate up or down. A 5 shouldn't cause much damage apart from stuff that may have shaken off shelves. Spare a thought for grocery store clerks. Cleanup in Aisle Every Damn One.

@unistellar.bsky.social or any #unistellar #evscope users — I'm a vision-challenged user still learning the basics. Does anyone know why, when I Edited exposure/gain in Live View manually, the app view of the #lunareclipse looked like left screencap,but "take photo" saved images were desaturated?

OH, it didn't occur to me my smudgy blob might show darker features as well as gibbous! Thanks for posting; now I see what to expect. I was viewing through city lights and gusty wind last night, so it was silly to try, but I'm still learning the basics. I'll try again next time I go to the desert.

Fibro/arthritis has steamrolled me. I apply limited spoons to call reps, support those my govt hates, and lose myself in nerdly subjects from Dr Who to archaeology to earth sciences to train travel.

Silly cartoon I drew a few years ago, originally posted with the caption, "I just realized why we HAVE to get behind the modern airship revival."
