It’s nice being a Gold 75K flyer with them. Being on the road a lot for work isn’t always easy but happily Alaska is one outfit that never fails to take the edge off.

#OTD in 1962, LtCol John Glenn orbited the earth three times. Glenn earned only $8 which included his basic pay and flight pay. The 5 hour flight was not long enough to earn a per diem. Plus he was not reimbursed for mileage because he flew a government vehicle.
