I was proud to celebrate 59 outstanding recruits from Kokomo to East Chicago, Portage to South Bend, & everywhere in between. This is the Northern Indiana Law Enforcement Academy's largest class yet, and a powerful reminder of the strength and dedication found across our region.

I joined my colleagues from NWI in raising concerns about the EPA’s recent proposed rollbacks in our region. IN has been ranked last in the nation for environmental quality for far too long. I will continue to advocate for strong protections for our environment and public health.

I had the honor of serving as an Indiana commissioner on the Midwest Interstate Passenger Rail Commission and was able to attend their annual conference in Kansas City. It was inspiring to see the investment other states are making in high-speed rail and public transportation.
