Thank you to Senator Ed Markey for the opportunity to have this important discussion. I’m thrilled that Bay Staters have a partner on Capitol Hill who understands both the potential and the risks of unchecked AI development.

As part of NCSL's Al Day on Capitol Hill, our delegation advocated for a framework that recognizes state legislatures as partners in the responsible development of Al — and warned against the reintroduction of a misguided state Al moratorium like the one in the original ‘Big Beautiful Bill’.

Thank you to everyone who came out today, to my friend Rep Hawkins, and to Falco, a Red-tailed Hawk anticoagulant rodenticide survivor rescued by the New England Wildlife Center who joined us on the State House steps!
