Your friendly neighborhood democratic Senator **

Bipartisanship, norms and process are my jammy jams.

Together, we can tweet through anything.

Standing athwart fascism, yelling "norms!"

Had I remembered that the State of the Union was last night, I would have held up a truly radical tiny auction sign.

It would have read:

"Compromise"

i’m sure the democrats will very quietly shake their fists in the air about this
This is absolutely insane. Musk’s DOGE crew just straight up *took* $80 million from an NYC bank account!
Okay what is going on here. Are the accounts at a private banking entity? Does the federal government have direct debit permission set up? So many questions as to how Treasury instructed this payment. (Via NY Post’s Craig McCarthy)

I was prevented from entering my office this morning by a 19 year old with big balls.

Hey, I still get my Senate paycheck either way buddy, so jokes on you.

This is just bonus PTO!

One thing voters tell my assistant, is that we don't respond fast enough in a crisis.

Seen.
Heard.

That's why I introduced a bill to double wages for hard working Americans going forward** AND retroactively 10 years**

It passed before the ink was even dry.

Loved.

This Elon Musk coup is happening at breakneck speed.

That's why I'm scheduling a meeting with some of my fellow congressman for sometime in March to come up with the concept of a battle-plan.

I'll send out the meeting invite the INSTANT I return from vacation in 3 weeks.

I'm hearing something about an Order 66 being in effect.

But I haven't seen anything like that in committee or on the floor. I'm not going to worry about it.

The armed guys banging on my door seem really insistent though. Weird.

I really have to say, I'm really proud of my big D's. We nailed those confirmation hearings hard.

I was sad there was no time left to ask nominees any questions after my speech.

But the clips are paying dividends in fundraising emails.

Campaign coffers getting turgid!

None of Trump's cabinet picks would meet with me

One threatened to prosecute me
Another threatened to order Seal Team 6 to kill me
Another threatened to shoot my puppy, Merrick

But a president should have the cabinet he wants

So it's my duty to respect that norm and confirm them all

Our norms were almost toast. But at the moment most dark, a hero rose - the hero we needed.

One of the greatest success of our constitutional democracy was it's failure to prosecute and convict Donald J Trump for insurrection. The norms held.

Mr Garland, we salute you.

Sometimes me and the boys like to get together and sizzle up some raw meat circles for consuming and applying cheese.

Easy there Chuckster, don't overcook them! Those beauties are almost ready to eat!

It's days like this that remind me why I love being human.

I disagree with Trump on a lot of things, but he did teach us democrats a thing or two about fighting hard.

That's why, as your democratic senator, I'm committed to tweeting about norms.
February 3, 2025 at 5:23 PM
Trump is waging war on democracy!

That's why I'm fighting back by making a commitment to you, to create a reminder to schedule a meeting with The White House sometime in the next three to six months.

Let's do this!
