Florida's Legislature in a nutshell:

One of the final (sort of) policy fights of the 2025 session is an effort to strip local communities of any power to control litter-causing products like plastic bags, straws & cups and styrofoam boxes & coolers.

The Florida Legislature just passed a bill making it far harder for citizens to amend the state constitution by petition drive.

The bill was sponsored by the same lawmakers who sponsored Florida's 6-week abortion ban...which was nearly overturned last year by a petition drive.
