A tiger, an elephant, a giraffe--you know.
Sometimes democracy dies in broad daylight.
Me to you, I know what it’s going to take.

Baby steps. Possible, though, that the tech model of the adoption curve is in play here.

Often someone in hospice care will, for no medical reason, experience a temporary burst of energy and lucidity before the end.

The National Guard shouldn’t have been in DC: Insensitive and politicized generalization.

Afghans shouldn’t be in the US: Level-headed, practical leadership.

What childhood trauma is this man trying to overcome? And why do the rest of us have to help him get past it? I don’t want to sound insensitive but what an asshole.

Oh, thank goodness! We thought this one-sided set of proposals came directly from the Kremlin.

Cars would be cheaper without seatbelts.

“Details remain unclear” is the mantra of this administration. Just 1. declare as a fact peace, affordability, free speech, anti-antisemitism, election reform, anti-corruption measures, etc; 2. see it repeated by the cowed and incurious media; and 3. watch everyone forget it didn’t actually happen.

This administration‘s thoughtful rejoinder when caught in an obvious lie: “Is not!”

Waiting for Kavanaugh to suggest that racially biased voting maps only temporarily inconvenience non-white voters, and furthermore that posting ICE agents outside polling places would fall under the "Two Birds With One Stone" doctrine and would therefore be okay.

Here’s the playbook:
1. Support an aggressive state that gleefully kills the other side’s civilians.
2. Celebrate that country’s leader as your dear friend.
3. Impose his vision of a “solution” w/o consulting the other side.
4. Declare peace despite continuing violence.
5. Petulantly demand praise.

Between this giddy endorsement and the handsy MBS press session it’s pretty clear: they’ve changed his meds.

How can this happen? Such a slap in the face to our system of justice.

“I think I made it clear that this man was innocent,” said the president before pardoning him again.
November 21, 2025 at 1:47 AM
Oh thank goodness everyone made such a fuss about this now the most transparent president in history will open the vault on camera and walk us through a complete unveiling of the files, like the last scene in Citizen Kane where the public finds out that Rosebud is the sled.

Skepticism about vaccines.
Also about science.
Also about truth.
And morality.

It’s opinion-based decisionmaking all the way down for this administration.

Well that's one jersey he's not going to get.

Catching up with the totals for USAID cuts on the leaderboard. Policymakers really jockeying for position in this year‘s “Circles of Hell” competition. May the winner collect his prize as soon as possible.

Someone’s going to get a reprimand.

I feel like a couple of months ago we were told that murdering truth tellers was not just a crime but a sin, and that if you said anything else you should be fired, ostracized, or worse.

“The opprobrium that erupted after Mr. Khashoggi’s killing dogged Prince Mohammed for years until he put it behind him.”

Glad he could put it behind him. Spilled milk. 100% chance that Trump jokes with him behind closed doors about how to deal with journalists.
November 18, 2025 at 11:34 AM
Along with the list of violent and corrupt criminals pardoned by Trump, and the usual petty and self-revealing accusations (Biden was a doddering tool, etc.), was this: Biden’s portrait in a new WH Presidential Walk of Fame was replaced with a picture of an autopen. Swiftian levels of satire.

Bringing back the political cartoon that shows Justice with the blindfold lifted off of one eye.

I mean, you can't prosecute everyone at once--let's flip a coin and start with.... oh, these are Democrats? What were the odds?

Hey, corporations are people too, and this administration is all about protecting the people’s interests.

Apparently Mike Johnson was embarrassed he was going to mispronounce Grijalva’s name at the swearing-in ceremony. It had nothing to do with a rejection of the legitimate electoral process in order to protect a pedophile in high office.
