Data sadist. High quality, high variance, galaxy-brained takes. Urbanism, rage against cruelty and inefficiency, scifi/fantasy, shoegaze, stats and programming. I live in Denver, say hi if you're on Ikon.
I see it in the water.
I feel it in the Earth.
I smell it in the air.
Much that once was is lost,
For none now live who remember it.

I agree with him we should ban cars from parking on the street.

This part was wild: just hire another guy! They hate housing more than they like featherbedding more jobs!

I do get that if your job is Army you want symbols associated with death.
I don't get the lack of pride and loyalty to the US. Here are some ideas from the guys who wrecked Germans:

A thing liberalism needs to recapture men is supporting big megaprojects. Mid century, this was big-ass rockets with some brave dudes riding on top.

The average adult is doing way too little exercise! Americans get adequate pro as an average, but many people don't.

To urbanise suburban mega blocks, a city that could get cut-and-cover costs low enough could cover stroad intersections and expand the urban boundary.

The thermians are probably my favorite aliens. Weird but also humanoid superficially. And the portrayal as tool-using autist seals is so convincing. Amazing acting.

Thinking about MAID, and how I hope I have the chance to live to 105, have an evening around a campfire under the aspens with all my friends and family, and then say goodbye and walk out into the snowfall and accept the gift of men.

What's awesome about this movie is it shows the beauty of the smaller world, how competitive scaling took a super world millions of years ago as wetware computation wasn't compact enough.

I wave at the robot in the sink, hoping to get her attention, so she'll provide some water and soap.
