I watched the video breaking down Steam's tags recently and saw some conversations about how "female protagonist" only made up around 7% of all games. I wanted to try and see how well this reflects actual games, so I created this graph based on Steam's top 250 rated titles.

If you notice any mistakes or errors in the the spreadsheet let me know, and I'll correct it. I've only played a few of these titles, so I was not entirely sure on how some should be labeled. Also, this post is not meant as a direct rebuttal but as a more clear breakdown of what is really happening.
