I watched the video breaking down Steam's tags recently and saw some conversations about how "female protagonist" only made up around 7% of all games. I wanted to try and see how well this reflects actual games, so I created this graph based on Steam's top 250 rated titles.

Getting an OFF and Deltarune update in the same year is the most exciting gaming news I’ve heard in a long time. Our modern day feels like the best time for indie games to get the recognition and success they have long deserved. Let’s hope that this is a strong sign towards the genre’s growth.
