The world-building is great in this book. I need the thing where kids cross the threshold and are magically washed/dressed for bed.

This is probably not a 1:1 comparison, but I was watching The Sound of Music and thought, "it's amazing how I can see every piece of this set they're on. Every inch of the abbey. Every crevice of Captain's face".

I read it for the first time in my 20s, and it resonated so deeply with me. Love this book.
