Yes it is, and as @bardraelyn.bsky.social noted AI is a poor substitute for learning competency. I just feel bad for people unable to convey what they want, so I’d accept a temporary crutch for them and hope they don’t continue to rely on it.

About the only reasonable case use I can think of for using LLMs is to help people with poor writing skills - ESL, dyslexia, et cetera - clean up their writing and be better understood. It should be a tool of last resort in those cases, though.

Plus decades of fan created mods have shown that they never needed AI tools to make content. @talreth.bsky.social is right that this is the developers trying to cover their own use of AI tools.
