Howdy!
I'm Sekai. I am currently an Atmospheric Sciences student at Georgia Tech, and plan to graduate in 2027.
I love researching, predicting, and analyzing extreme meteorological phenomenon. I also love competitive swimming, photography, the Baltimore Ravens, and hanging out with friends.

I looked at every violent tornado on the NEXRAD archive and noticed something.
Almost all of the parent supercells benefited from a favorable mesoscale interaction (nudger, merger, OFB, etc).
IMO, most individual discrete cells CANNOT produce sigtors without external help.

There are reports of fatalities.
This is one of the worst SHEM single-city tornado hits in a LONG time.

A major, deadly tornado struck the southern Brazilian town of Rio Bonito do Iguaçu this afternoon, causing horrible (F3/F4) damage and leveling multiple homes.

Recent convective bursts over the center suggest that the storm is fighting back strongly, but it has a long way to go.

That part of China is very densely populated.
Major typhoon #Ragasa will make landfall there soon, where it will bring high-end and widespread storm surge (given the typhoon's strong and broad core) to these areas.
