If you're in New York tonight, Kay Vaindal will be reading Pig House 2: Pig in the City at Lofty Pigeon Books!

Jk but they are reading the classic OG Pig House and answering questions alongside Louis Evans for the launch of ECO24, The Year's Best Speculative Ecofiction. Mooch on over, it'll be fun.

Been thinking about Jeannette Ng's Under the Pendulum Sun and how it's one of the few books that makes the fae as sinister and horrifying as they deserve to be. An under-read dark fantasy gothic masterpiece.

Reading this grim but important book. Israel’s brutal oppression of the Palestinians can’t be fully grasped without knowing about the Nakba, the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people foundational to establishing the Israeli state, and a context shockingly absent from a lot of media discussion.

If you’re looking for a short , grotesque little read for the weekend pick up Helpmeet by Naben Ruthnum from Undertow. A vile little gothic body horror novella that made me feel like I had things sprouting out of my skin.

Screenshot of the donation we just sent. A combination of April subscription money and payments some of our authors generously decided to waive to instead donate to Medical Aid for Palestinians.

We frequently get submissions from authors providing their home address, telephone number, and other personal info.

We don’t need it and have updated our guidelines. You’re sending this info to strangers and any mag that wants it at the submissions stage needs to sort themselves out.
