Instead of meeting us at the table to negotiate a fair contract, Blue Island School District 130 hired a PR firm after we started speaking out against their racist and anti-union tactics.

A big thank you to State Senator Willie Preston and Rep. Justin Slaughter for showing up for our custodians in CCSD#130 who are fighting against anti-union retaliation and racist practices from management. These workers are fighting for a strong new contract, and we won't stop until they get it!

Yesterday, our custodians in Blue Island were prevented from speaking at the School Board mtg about their ongoing issues around retaliation & racism from mgmt. Sadly, it's no surprise seeing that they have been unable to honor our existing contract & cont to reject new proposals.
