The second I get a holiday I revert back to gremlin sleep hours ... the only thing that gets me in bed at a somewhat sane hour is that I feed the cats at bedtime and I must keep to kitty routine

As a tiny child I was morbidly fascinated by the Bottom of the Well and Dead Hand in Ocarina of Time (and Ikana Valley in Majora's Mask) because of those immaculate disturbing vibes 😌

I LOVE horror, but I do not like or want to be actually scared or startled (hello, anxiety)
give me eerieness & dread, the weird & unnatural & fucked up... I'm down to be thrilled, chilled, unsettled, disturbed, fascinated, freaked out, etc

My controversial opinion is that expecting horror to scare you does a disservice to the huge swath of things under the umbrella of horror that are dark in tone, macabre, or otherwise Gothic.
