I was signing papers at a local bank a few days ago and whipped out my tribal id. A fellow board member commented, “That’s a fancy driver’s license.” I said I would rather identify as a tribal citizen than American. I am so ashamed of the US government.

Herring weather is a real thing.I was told by a Native elder the wild fluctuations are nature’s way of creating the perfect conditions for herring spawn. I did see one humpback cruising by the shore today.
