Unless you played a ton of CS (or R6 kinda) the chances of anyone being good at Valorant the first time they try it are nearly zero lol. I started in iron 3 when I first picked up the game during COVID, but have a decent rank now. The learning curve is just kinda steep.

Idk "if you will never understand pay for video games" is entirely true. Maybe for standard price AAA games this is true, but some indie games like Hollow Knight or Deltarume are SIGNIFICANTLY undervalued imo.

I remember watching a video at some point about how if you do this you have to do half of your movement in update and another half of your movement in late update or your movement won't be consistent with frame rate even with deltaTime. I'll have to see if I can go dig it up.

Eh sometimes it's the "WoW arm pauldrons" thing where it doesn't matter how factually correct something is if a trope to the contrary informs perception more than reality. If the design ends up being interesting anyways straying from realism, even knowingly, can be fine.
