And as far as syncing up with the feel of pre-Crisis stuff, I think mainly the stuff Jerry Ordway was doing in in like Adventures of Superman has it down better. I think he’s the real unsung hero of this era, the link between Byrne’s years and the 90s triangle era

includes most of those people writing think pieces and the like, influencing the people who continue to pen “criticism” today without any formal literacy. Godard’s an antidote not always for particular conclusions he teaches so much as his means of exploration and articulation…

I guess, but, I don’t think we should accept less. Godard was not perfect, at times incoherent, prone to plenty of overstatements. I’ve read those 70s lectures of his. YouTube essayists are bad but they’re one bad problem in a culture industry that…
