Breal bought a slew of unloved brands and then engaged in a damaging race to the bottom. This was the inevitable conclusion and the only surprise is that it has taken this long.

My thoughts are with the blameless employees that will be affected by their failure.

IMO this increase in physicality of the EPL has made it particularly difficult for Spurs this season while balancing injuries/Europa. While EL is a lower standard than CL, the key difference is the reduced recovery time before PL games - you are nearly always playing with <72 hours recovery
NEW with @simonkuper.bsky.social:

The prevailing narrative around increased injuries and player workload in elite football is wrong.

Players don’t play any more football than in the past. What has changed is a sharp rise in intensity of play.

Not more minutes, but each minute exerts more load.

I'm convinced this is a genuine problem. The reality of Trump is so cartoonishly, comically awful that an absolutely neutral description sounds like a hit piece, even to me. So if you're at all predisposed to think of press as biased, factual reporting looks like some relentless vendetta.
feel like one problem of Trump is that describing him objectively sounds like you're insulting him

Real Sociedad, Galatasary, AZ Alkmaar or Midtylland in the next round for Spurs then... Think we all know where that's going!

Thought the MOTD analysis on Sarr/Maddison was off. They acted like we were open in 1st half and needed to shore up defensively - not my view. Think sub was about attacking differently. We won 9/10 (of 13) corners in the first 30mins but wasn’t doing us much good… needed a diff way to attack.
