I want to know what musical qualifications Crossan has, because every musician I know loves Bohemian Rhapsody.

Misread that as "Crufts" for a second there...

"By their fruits shall you know them."

There aren't half as many Christians in the world as there claim to be.

And, in doing so, taught the wrong lesson: that aircraft carriers were vulnerable to battleships.

It would take quite a long time for everyone to realise that the reverse was true.

Just so we're all clear, what do you think their "only job" was?
November 15, 2025 at 12:23 PM
I'm Northern Irish but I live in Scotland. Today I was in the post office, sending a parcel back to NI, and I had to fill in what was essentially a customs declaration form. To send something from one part of the UK to another. So I'm sorry too: you happened to catch me on a day when I'm a bit off.

I'm glad you clarified. There was literally no other way to tell you were trying to be funny.

It is more complicated than that (a statement that applies to *every single fucking thing* in Northern Irish identity politics, which is *all* Northern Irish politics).

Okay, but that comment wasn't actually funny. The Troubles killed or injured 3% of the entire country's population. The Omagh bomb killed more people, per capita, than 9/11.

Understand your audience.

I cannot tell if you're being facetious and playing the "utterly clueless American" bit with deadpan brilliance, or if you are in fact an utterly clueless American.

I dare you to say "Northern Ireland is not part of British culture" on the Shankill Road in Belfast.
November 14, 2025 at 6:16 PM
It sounds like your biography pretty exactly matches my own!
November 14, 2025 at 6:12 PM
Turns out he can't.

Same!

Watch him scamper up that chimney

Richmond-upon-Thames?

Fly-by-night dog-and-cat-restaurants are unbelievably profitable, apparently.

*1975 Northern Ireland looks on in amazement at the assertion that at that time there was "less culture warring".
November 14, 2025 at 1:41 PM
The UK? Which includes Northern Ireland? Which in 1975 was, in turn, in full Troubles mode?

Let's take a look at how NI was doing in 1975...

OH.
