Currently, the outrage to the visible contents of the Epstein files is so mild that I have to think the majority of people just aren’t even casually checking them. I can’t think of a phrase to describe what I’ve read even as a forensic analyst. “Cartoonishly evil” is too gentle. Horrific. Inhuman.

My Westie Omar always wanted to chase cats. He would have hysterics if he caught sight of one while walking. But now he is very very old, with arthritis and half blind. I saw him this week nose to nose with a cat in our front garden, merely curious and quite relaxed.

The pseudoscience term "biological woman" is everywhere in mainstream media now. Just a reminder that while we might call a cat "female" no-one would ever call it a "woman". "Woman" is a human thing encompassing much more than just biology.

I participated in a Cambridge University study about intersex traits and brain types, that randomly included a lot of questions about autism. The study really bothered me because the criteria for autism was "low empathy". And I did score freakishly low for empathy in the study.

Epstein was at least seen to be connected enough to Rowling for folks to go to him to be connected with her. Rowling once accidentally replied to a twitter post by a child's mom with hate speech copied into her clipboard. Rowling has used her Harry Potter money to aid in the legal expenses of white supremacists because she agreed with their transphobia as well as successful judicial attacks on children by the UK supreme court.
