(1) Observation: There appears to be a tendency in videos, particularly when it's a "selfie" type video (just one person talking about... whatever) where they edit the videos to remove their breathing.

Thoughtful Question: "Is the human brain the most complex thing we know of?" - taken from an interview I'm watching on Diary of a CEO with Jordan B. Peterson

He claims it is. I think this isn't true. The most complex "thing" we know of is the full expression of all that is. Discuss.

Thoughtful Question: "Can we create our own values?" - taken from an interview I'm watching on Diary of a CEO with Jordan B. Peterson

He claims we cannot. My initial take is that we CAN, through self brainwashing. If we choose to do so. Discuss.

Something that is truly confounding to me. Folks who are obviously very bright, but they support really stupid things (like Trump, for example). Mental disorders can draw people to unhealthy things, but how do otherwise intelligent people support obviously toxic, irrational things?

As a business owner, I can understand the concern, but as more and more businesses turn to the policy of requiring someone to be a "paying customer" to use the bathroom, I'm reminded of the days of "pay Toilets" so common in the Jersey City area growing up. 🙄 www.npr.org/2025/01/14/g...
No such thing as a free toilet: Starbucks reverses open bathroom policy
The new guideline is a reversal of a 2018 open-door policy that was implemented after two Black men, who had not ordered anything, were arrested at a Philadelphia store.

I'm more literate than the average person. My vocabulary score is well above average. However, I've just learned that my understanding of a rather common word was way off. "Sublime". I'm edging to 55 and have always thought it meant something closer to "subtle". I was so wrong. Keep learning, folks.

I predicted this. I wish it meant in psychic instead of just paying attention to the patterns. Trump is simply one of the most blatant examples of how influential people get to make their own rules

So far I'm not super excited about this platform. It reminds me too much of Twitter and I never cared for that "look&feel". I guess we'll see how this goes though.
