Almost 200 birds ringed in the past week at Wild Woodbury #rewilding site. Around half were Chiffchaff, with high numbers now moving through. Redstart, Firecrest, and a few Grasshopper Warbler still passing through amongst other highlights. @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social

Autumn sessions @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social rewilding site, Wild Woodbury, have been excellent so far this Autumn. Quieter today, but 44 birds of 17 species gave a nice variety. @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social

What better way to spend #worldrewildingday than at the final day of @rewildingbritain.org.uk conference in Dorset. A great three days visiting @harbourbirds.bsky.social, @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social, and @nationaltrust.bsky.social, before a day discussing how we can accelerate rewilding in the UK.

Over 800 birds ringed at Wild Woodbury #rewilding site so far this year, with some highlights below. Increases in both resident and migratory species, and a few rarer species picked up too, all show an encouraging increase in species abundance and diversity. @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social

Always a treat to ring an ever-grumpy looking Treecreeper, this one only the second to be ringed Dorset Wildlife Trust #rewilding site Wild Woodbury. All ringed and handled under licence.
