Like, imagine an EU-Spanish creator going for 1 large EU-based sponsor as well as 3-4 LATAM ones.

Still one video worth of production, but now they get to cram more sponsors on it without adding runtime and maximizing the "Target"

Anyway I am now working at an Ad Agency btw 🫠🫠

This is like a weird thing in general, since the best case for it would be a newly released title where you are stating at mostly 0.

But I think it would be interesting to introduce that idea to an existing scene during a would be off season period where you just play around with rules.

For whatever reason, it feels a lot more "worthless" to write about epic battles and heroics, when it feels the real thing would just be a group of 5 high ranking people in a bunker pressing buttons raining down tons of millions of year old rocks that are meant to the heritage of humanity.

I don't know what it is or why. But because of this feeling I feel far more compelled to write about the human-centric stories of space conflict and war.

Not trying to pass any moral judgement, it's not even a novel idea. 11/x

I am thinking of scenarios and playing them out, leading to the (yes imaginary) deaths of however many people in those battles.

And I feel there is something fundamentally different between it and, say, modern conflict fiction, or historical ones. 10/x

The moment a human civilization sets up somewhere in the outer planets, they will have an insurmountable advantage over every other human on the solar system that is closer to the sun.

So I feel guilt, or depressed, or some other feeling because my ideas of space warfare are misleading 9/x

Why make a fleet? Just launch 100 ships to the inner asteroid belt, have them attach themselves to various bodies and then be in standby until given the order.

We are at the bottom of the gravity well, we are in the worst place for this. 8/x

Its not even sci-fi, *we've done this already*. Its a tested idea that can help us save the planet from a potential hit... or eventually become the foundation for an act of terror.

So in thinking about space warfare I can't but feel there is a weird unbalance between this and how I imagine it 7/x

Every type of explosive you can think of can literally be replicated by adjusting mass and velocity. Want a nuke? Drop titanium from orbit. It either has to be massive enough or go fast, but you can make a nuke out of it.

Or potentially easier than that, nudge an asteroid a bit. 6/x

Think of this way. In every realm of warfare today, there is a physical limit to the sandbox.

Land makes war hard. Water is still very hard. Air is way easier, one of the reasons drones are taking off. But space?

99% of the time there is nothing else in space to slow us down. 5/x

War is well, war. It's civilians' deaths, military industrialization, a struggle that quite literally breaks cultures in half. There is no war where the "winning" side comes out exactly as it began.

And in the context of space, that is even more terrifying. 4/x

But in thinking about it on a deeper and realistic level, I always find myself thinking on just how unbelievably terrifying the prospect of real space-wide war is.

Not *warfare*, *war*. There is a difference. Warfare is the combat, the tactics, the "puzzle" that you don't have all the pieces. 3/x

I find it tremendously interesting to imagine the mechanics of that landscape. Some of my favorite games touch on the overall topic somewhat:

ARMA, KSP, Terra Invicta, Stellaris, Ostranauts, Sprocket, UBOAT, SQUAD, Sim War Thunder, Call to arms, X4 foundations, Interplanetary, etc... 2/x
