I am kinda tempted to run a tournament, but with twist.
BLB has Spring Training, a time of silly things but also a bit of a testing ground (ABS most recently).
What if there was a format/event that was basically ST but for a game to figure out what competitive players liked in terms of rules?

Much of esports is built on fundamentally unsustainable sources. The low-knowledge investors, wealthy enthusiasts, crypto scams, money laundering, sports washing, etc that contribute so much of this industry's funding aren't long-term paths to sustainability, they're frantic jumps between life rafts

We should really be starting to come up with the first 0-gravity sport for the folks on the ISS to play. I don't mean an earth sport adapted to space (like tennis, baseball, etc). I mean a fully fleshed, from the ground-up sport that can only function in near 0-gravity.

I have nothing but good things to say about @startgg.bsky.social (as any poor soul who has been witness to my rants about formats and tournament organizing knows)
So i am happy they are fully independent again and I hope this revenue will prove to be stable and long lasting.

Back in 2021, PMG reported on the unseen games industry crunch taking place at outsourcing studios in SE Asia.
Since then, the companies we looked at have continued to work on some of the biggest games in the world, without any push to improve the conditions of the artists doing that work. (1/7)
