Seattle Sunbear
@seattlesunbear.bsky.social
The sunbear is my spirit animal, but I am unapologetically a Shibe. I follow Seattle sports, politics, indie music, and like to eat (all the things). I split my time between the Seattle suburbs and islands north of town.
Betcha didn’t know Washington had a sandy nude beach…

The struggle is real… you win this round sir, but tomorrow that heat vent shall be mine!

Father John Misty’s new album is good. Great lyricist. “Use your discretion so I don’t have to use mine!” I think about that line a lot…

IT FINALLY HAPPENED! This morning I saw a rabbit and when I gave chase, I broke free! It was exhilarating! I was so surprised that it threw me off to be honest, and I didn’t manage to catch that rascally rabbit… 😡

Native to the PNW, the Douglas Squirrel (aka Dougie) is nearly as cute as I am! Much more adorable than your average grey squirrel (didn’t stop me from wanting to chase the Dougie though…)

Alas, some day I shall know what lurks around the corner from the bottom of the stairs. For now I shall continue to wonder…

Hood up, flatten the ears, but keep the head dry OR hood down, let the ears stand proud, but end up soaked by the end of the walk? In Seattle, THAT is the question! P.S. Holy smokes it has been windy!

Cats can be worms, octopuses, liquid itself, friends, enemies, really anything they think the moment requires; which is perhaps how they get away with pooping in the house and having someone else clean it up after them and people being impressed…
A cow is essentially a large dog, and a lobster is a wet bug. On rare occasions cats can be worms. Please address any further questions to my attorney.

I approve of this donut bed.

My family just got back from a visit to the great state of Hawaii! #real (not falsely advertised) Kona coffee is something else. Ono indeed!

#sorrynotsorry. It’s a red flag if you cut a hard boiled egg ‘hamburger way’ in front of me…

It’s best to carefully inspect the crab grass for discarded chicken or turkey legs during crabbing season…

My cousin is a Keeshond. Can anyone from the Netherlands tell me what sort of martial arts this is so I can learn how to counter it?

When they step on a Lego that’s laying on the floor they jump and yell in pain, but when I eat a Lego that’s laying on the floor they jump and yell at ME!? No good deed goes unpunished I guess.

It wasn’t all. I also have to profess my (currently) undying love for SASAMI. Had me at “Honeycrash” but then went ahead and made “In Love with a Memory” ft. Clairo. Chef’s kiss!

Shoutout to another member of the Asian bear family: I am digging Panda Bear’s new track featuring Cindy Lee, “Defense”. That is all.

While I prefer going ‘au naturel,’ I think I look pretty dapper in my newest harness…

Well, “indestructible” for some mere mortals maybe. I had the head off in what, ten minutes? #ShibaStrength.

I found someone else who looked like me at the market. I bet she gets away with a lot of trouble too. Being a handsome devil has its advantages…

The first time I met my brother from another mother we were both a bit unsure how things would workout; but then I learned we both appreciate the finer things in life…

One of the things I have learned in middle age is the power of a good nap. It really can’t be understated how much better I feel after a quick crash to reset.
