I doubt they have time to hear it before the primaries / midterms. At least that’s my bet. The primary is in at and fillings obviously months prior. It’s November 18th; tik tok.

Modest proposal make the DOJ fully independent, or at least do what other countries do in that the prosecution arm of their justice departments are fully independent. Hey even make the AG an elected office with one 5 year term. Something has got to give there.

Why though? I don’t get this reaction. 42 million SNAP recipients were going without - they were held hostage. Also it wasn’t gonna last forever and no the GOP weren’t gonna cave in the ACA, but the point was made about affordability.

Well if it makes the GOP mildly frightened they’d lose it and have redirect resources there then it’s not a bad proposition.

Well as an example the tariff case took 8 months to reach the Supreme Court and that’s only because the lower courts expedited it, I doubt a case of significance makes it to them prior to the mid terms. Remember some states early vote starts in September.

That has to happen really lightning fast even IF they did. A court would need to stop any Map changes by like April otherwise it messes with the primaries - that btw is their own precedent.
