It's personal lived experience. The Kent State shootings and the My Lai massacre, along with the sad parade of body bags returning from 'Nam, finally shook the "average American" out of complacency. I watched it happen.

i suppose it's the same deal with federal abuses in the immigration system. we really just needed someone obnoxious at the helm to bring it to the surface and make it everyone's problem
