The different parts of this site do feel very siloed off in a way that old Twitter did not. I swear I never get served new people who I actually want to follow on here.

I still see people reference the fucking East Palestine train derailment. Real cargo cult mentality here sometimes.

This also isn't even true anymore? I think negative polarization really has made them pro-misery essentially.

I honestly find the whole Nara deer thing grotesque. A lot of those deer look extremely unhealthy because they're constantly hand fed junk.

"They take jobs."

"No they don't, they make them."

"They take benefits."

"No they don't, they're not citizens."

"They change the culture."

There it is.

Are there really so many of these assholes that none of these companies can feel confident to tell them to pound sand?

Has it felt to you like there's been a switch here recently? Maybe I'm just noticing it more, but I keep encountering more people who seem perfectly happy cozying up to the gulf states. As an American, hard for me to judge too hard, but I can't say I would feel comfortable going to any of them.

Not trying to throw shade (love the pod), but I feel like this dynamic is true about social media fame as well and explains a lot of what drives the discourse cycles.

The thing about Ezra is that he has always been a credulous rube. One of the first times I heard about him was because he had to apologize for carrying water for Paul Ryan.

Which side? We know Shaggy's from a confederate family.

I've been catching up on the pod and it's been interesting watching all three of you grow more and more tired of the legal reasoning aspect of the pod. The Supreme Court obviously still matters, but it does feel less important now that the bottom has fallen out of the American system entirely.

This photo looks like something out of Jurassic Park Trespasser.

I like the Last Jedi a lot, but Rian Johnson. The worst part about using Twitter was realizing how many writers simply parrot it.
