@agoldman.bsky.social Third Eye Blind may not be my favorite #hyperfixed episode, but I think you and your team knocked it out of the park on that one. And a follow-up question: Did the the topic of how people with aphantasia experience or react to psychedelics come up at all in your research?

@troyhunt.com sorry to bother you, but I was notified via another service (nordvpn) that I was exposed in the Teg.com.au (ticketek) breach. What is curious about this is my email doesn't appear to show up on haveibeenpwned for that email address & breach? Any thoughts on that?

Ok, I have to admit, I had to look at this article three times to convince myself it wasn't from The Onion. I didn't know bloodletting was a recommended medical treatment. I thought that went out of style around the same time as 'leeching'

I've been following this story with interest as it has gotten a lot of play in the media and I'm in the alcohol business. Particularly this, "From the first drop" quote that has made the rounds & appears to be made up from whole cloth? @nytimes.com, looking for response from Rabin on this...

How hot is too hot for planet Earth? For years, there’s been a consensus in the climate movement: no more than 1.5 degrees Celsius. But that figure isn't based on any actual scientific calculation, Emma Marris wrote in 2023.
1.5 Degrees Was Never the End of the World
The most famous climate goal is woefully misunderstood.

Let's not forget the key reason fact-checking came to Facebook. It wasn't Donald Trump. It was the Ronhingya Genocide that Meta viral-spiraled. Meta later rejected requests for a tiny donation/reparation for the literal genocide they helped foment. Think about that when you use Meta/FB/Insta.

For this weekend’s #PracticalWineAdvice 🧵, I’m going to dive into tartrate crystals. I’ll start with an email we got a few years back from a customer (edited to protect identity):

Is it worth 20 MINS a day to proactively recruit and bring your friends, neighbors, relatives, businesses, anyone who is or could be a user, to @bsky.app?

If Bluesky ends up with more users than the others, you destabilize musk, zuck, trump.
