My motion to restore and enforce our regulations on traditional, hand-painted shopfronts was passed unanimously by the municipal council today. We need to clamp down on inappropriate signage and plastic pollution in our city centre. @labour @kilkennycoco #shopfronts #vernacular #heritage #siopa

Along with other MEPs I met with UNRWA’s chief of staff Ben Majekodunmi today.

On the 14th January Gardai in Kilkenny City carried out duties on Dominic Street and also Granges Road, both busy school routes. During a one hour period they caught ten drivers using a mobile.
To do this they had a non-uniformed spotter and then a uniformed interceptor.
