I hope you still filed the claim. It's death by a million cuts, but each cut gets us closer to doing something these companies will actually feel. Or so I hope since one of those buffoons said the industry would collapse if they had to pay everyone they stole from.

27 x 10 = 270
27 + 27 = 40 + 14 = 54
270 - 50 = 220
220 - 4 = 216

Slow, but I tend to favor fewer chances for mistakes.

Doubling 4 times would also be an option, and probably selected based on mood. I probably would go that route if the non-8 number was a factor of 5.

I had no idea about the whole SmallTalk OS/environment. That seems both really cool and slightly insane.

10% means just move the decimal left. So 5 times 3 is easy mental math for 15.

As a journalist, how do you not understand what happened here and how your questions were impotent at best? You were wasting her time and your audience's time and you have the gall to go all shocked Pikachu face over something that isn't even complex? Journalism is not a wise career path for you.

Vibe coding is raising a child, regular coding is putting together LEGO without the instructions.

2 tips:

Try both using ring and pinky with index, and ring finger barre with index. Kill the higher strings by pushing the pad and angle the rest. Or pinky barre to give small hands less cramp.

Chords higher on the neck have closer frets. Play an octave up when you can as you build muscle.

I thought the World Series was for baseball, not …

It's true, I don't like that I have to leave the stack to handle it.

I kinda wish Rails would work on this before Beamer.

Tell me about it. The spiked metal bikini looks badass, but everyone forgets the price.

I want those things for you, too, and I know you don’t always get that from the community.

I won’t blame you if you leave, and you should if that’s better for you. It’s up to us to make people feel welcome, not to those people to endure unwelcoming behavior as misguided “solidarity.”

Was yours missing, or were you just traveling? I hope “reunited” just means something benign.

Hell. Yes.

We plan to do the same. When they’re too old for the nutrition to matter, they get all the meats and treats.

They’re just too pure. It’s so easy to give them a good life, because their needs are so simple. Even if they deserve more.

What was big boy’s name?
October 20, 2025 at 5:02 PM
That’s a big boy.

I wish they could be with us longer, but it drives me to make sure they have the best possible life, however long or short.

And I would rather lose them than have them lose us. Sometimes that helps.

Obligatory post of a Great Pyrenees that looks EXACTLY like yours.

Now that I’m older, losing my hair, I might do 30 - 2 + 40 - 4 (so 70 - 6). But if it didn’t happen fast enough I would do 40 + 8 + 16 which would be 56 + 8.

I really enjoyed the first, but was disappointed by the scope (I wanted more bigger longer, which is a great sign).

Haven’t pulled the trigger on 2 yet. Been stuck in Manor Lords recently.

I like your PEANIS sweatshirt. I don’t understand it, but I still like it.

You only feel safe to say this because both Haskell programmers are on Mastodon.
October 16, 2025 at 2:16 PM
I assumed as much, but wanted them to say it. It turns out they were full-on delusional, not just racist. I don’t know if I’m blocked or they got banned, but it was quite the grossly ignorant tirade.

I don’t read Hebrew. Can you point me to translations of the passages in the Torah that instruct Jews to convert or kill non-Jews?
October 14, 2025 at 8:25 PM
I’ve never heard of a Jew that teaches from the bible or looks to the bible for religious guidance.

The bible I actually have read. I don’t recall a directive to Jews in the Old Testament to kill all non-Jews, even if Jews did follow the bible.

Do you mean the Torah?
