An illustration I did of The Hallway from P.T.: Silent Hills. In the darkness, up above, she can be seen. Artwork of mine based on Alan Wake 2, featuring Alan lifting the lamp into the air, highlighting both the rain and illuminating a wall of text behind him, reading: "Alan looked into the darkness, his eyes attempting to adjust but finding nothing to focus on. Igniting the lamp, he found that the light caught only the shimmering rain as it fell from a starless sky. It was as if the world had simply fallen away, leaving him floating in a void beyond space. Alan had never felt so oppressively alone in his life, the darkness a cage surrounding him from all sides. Alan took one cautious step forward, not sure where solid ended and nothingness began. Just as he found confidence in his footing, a whisper trickled out from the night, causing him to whirl around in place. A voice, soft, but menacing, had coaxed him away from calm and into the hammering drumbeat of terror. The speaker was both seen and unseen, the light not so much as painting their figure as slipping past it, leaving a darker stain against the already overwhelming darkness. Alan blinked, attempting to clear this black spot from his vision, but the vision remained. It choked out another slight gasp, forming a word that sent chills down Alan's spine. A single word, a word he recognized all too dearly, and one that terrified him to hear spill forth from the abstract black shape before him. "Wake" it spat again, and Alan turned, running for his life as he dived further into the hell known only as The Dark Place." A piece of art I did to celebrate the release of Dead Space Remake, featuring Isaac Clarke, illuminated entirely by the glowing elements to his RIG suit, and the flashlight on his Plasma Cutter. This is both incredibly atmospheric as well as saving me from drawing his overdesigned nightmare of a costume. Artwork of mine inspired by Nosferatu (1922), featuring the ominous Count Orlok standing in darkness, framed by an ornate doorway.
