This is not entirely accurate. It wasn’t the sale of weapons to Iran that was illegal, it was the diversion of funds to the Contras, and there was never any adjudication of guilt on that specific charge. What happened in Nov. 1986 was the public exposure of the document that revealed the diversion.

It should be illegal to play them in December too. Their awful rendition of “Deck The Halls” has tormented me for decades.
